How It All Started
Our journey started in the hot summer days of Sofia, filled with endless opportunities on how we could spend our time. We met in Borisova Garden, Vessy filled with happiness and joy, Marko being his usual grumpy self. Even after the initial shock, we grew into good friends, which after years, on a similar hot summer day, blossomed into the relationship that we have now. We survived the long distance years of Vessy studying in the UK and Marko studying in Bulgaria until we finally moved in together in gloomy Manchester, to then move to London, where we live now. From there on it was only a matter of time to us getting engaged and soon to celebrate our wedding with our family and our closest friends.

Monica and Vessy met on the first day of Freshers Week at Lancaster University where they discovered that not only are they both in the same college and doing the same degree, but are also from the same country.
Following their graduation from university, they both found themselves feeling discontented with city life in Manchester, prompting them to seek new adventures elsewhere. Despite living in different corners of the world now—Monica in Barcelona with her partner Nico and their fluffy cat Luna, and Vessy in Berlin pursuing her career—they remain steadfast friends, always making time for each other.
Monica is an amazingly smart and driven person, always full of energy and seeking a fun way to expend it! We are so lucky to have her as a friend and our Best Woman!
Dimi
Best Man
It seems like we were destined with Dimi to have the friendship that we have. Even from kindergarten, we were living in the same apartment block with our parents constantly taking care of both us when the other parents were not available.
This continued in primary school, going together in the same class while our parents bought property again in the same apartment block (by chance). Dimi has been my bedrock for my entire life, making sure that I don’t go overboard in my constant desire to annoy everyone and being an example on how to be more empathic.
Needless to say, even if we don’t live in the same country anymore, when we meet, it’s like no time or distance has passed.

Bedouin is nestled in the heart of the Balkan mountain range, with the nearest town being Sevlievo.
This versatile venue plays host to a variety of events, including weddings, festivals, and other special occasions. Embracing its natural surroundings, Bedouin exudes a commitment to craftsmanship and honors the rich traditions of the region.
We selected Bedouin as our wedding venue because of our shared love for nature and the mountains. The Balkan range holds a special place in Vessy’s heart, as it is where she hails from, with Bedouin conveniently located just an hour and a half away from her hometown of Lovech.
How To Get There
Schedule & Dress Code
Saturday, 13th July – Wedding Day
Dress comfortably for our forest wedding in the mountains during July. Given Bulgaria’s warm July weather, we suggest lightweight summer attire, along with suncream, sunglasses, and hats if desired. As the evening approaches, the mountain air may chill, so bringing a shawl, cardigan, or jacket for nighttime activities is advisable. While high heels are not recommended due to the terrain, feel free to wear them at your own discretion and risk.
Sunday 14th July – Chill Day
Dress comfortably and be prepared for some light sports or walking activities; consider bringing trainers, shorts, and tank tops. We strongly advise bringing sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats. Additionally, as there’s a small brook near the venue, feel free to bring swimwear for a refreshing dip.
Gifts
Your attendance at our wedding is the most cherished gift we could ask for! Should you wish to contribute to our family fund, please feel free to indicate it in your RSVP. We will then provide you with our bank details, as well as PayPal and Revolut accounts, so you can donate any amount you deem appropriate.
Please don’t bring any physical gifts with you on the day, we won’t be able to transport them back to where we live in the UK.
